Programs & Ministries

The Siasconset Union Chapel serves not only as a place of worship but also as a center for community care and connection. Through various outreach initiatives, we strive to support those in need both in our Sconset community and across Nantucket Island.

Serving Our Community

The mission of the Outreach Program at the Siasconset Chapel is dedicated to non-profit organizations that support health and human services to individuals in need on Nantucket Island, and beyond, thoughout the year.

Food Pantry Contributions

Nantucket Food Pantry bags will be available at the Chapel every Sunday during the season. Please take one, fill it up with suggested items on the list in the pocket of the bag, bring it back on Sundays.

Circle of Giving

"There is nothing like good neighbors. When I was sick, my neighbor went out of her way to bring me my favorite cup of coffee each day." Nantucket, as an island, is very much like that. We all depend on each other for support and community. We celebrate that beauty, our island, educate, entertain us, and make Nantucket singular in its appeal. We also strive to give back.

Children's Ministry

After three incredible seasons of Children’s Chapel, we are overjoyed to embark on our fourth! With hearts full of gratitude, we celebrate the vibrant community that has made this program so special. Every gathering is a joyful reflection of God’s presence, rooted in love, kindness, and connection.

Together, we sing with joy, explore meaningful stories of faith, offer prayers, create with our hands and hearts, and strengthen our sense of belonging within our cherished chapel family. This summer, our theme is LOVE—God’s boundless, ever-present love for each of us, as well as Jesus’s teachings: Love God. Love Neighbor. Love Self.

We can’t wait to welcome returning friends and new faces alike! The Children’s Program will take place on non-beach service Sundays (July 13, 27; August 10, 24 and 31), running alongside the Chapel service. Children will begin worship with their families before transitioning to ‘AMEN’—a space filled with music, storytelling, crafts, and community-building activities. While fun is at the heart of all we do, safety remains our top priority.

Children ages 3-12 are invited to join, and we encourage you to register your children or grandchildren by clicking here. We also welcome teenage volunteers and any parents or grandparents of young children to help enrich our time together.  If you are interested in contributing or have any questions, please reach out to Chrissi Crampton at chrissicrampton@gmail.com.

Your presence and participation help nurture a vibrant congregation. We can’t wait to gather with you and your families at Chapel this summer!
